    April

Sorry I haven't written anything here in a while. I can't believe it's almost May! This is kinda random, but here's what's been going on the last month:

Saw some movies and plays: Sin City was fun, kinda like reading a comic but up on the screen. And we rented The Incredibles, which without a doubt lives up to its name. The best superhero film I've seen, bar none.

Amy's play "Utah" was good, almost as good as "Life with Ike". ("Ike" was damn good.) The night we saw "Utah", there were three other plays. All four seemed designed to disturb; it was mindfuck night at the New School. Nice.

We had a water main break here in Jersey, and went several days without useable water.

I started a new job. Still in pharmaceuticals, still in Quality. Excipients and packaging components and investigations. (My old job was API.)

Carol has a new boyfriend. (MAT's sister, not my Mom.) He seems very nice, although I forget his name. We met him in NYC along with Frannie and other Turner-side relatives. He's a cameraman, and I'm told he was very nervous to meet us. Heh. Wait 'till he meets Judith.

Spent much time cleaning for Passover, the house is all nice and not clean but still cluttered. Folks at my new job asked me what the holiday is, and I told them "it's a Jewish holiday, when we all lose weight". The last 6 days may be like that, but that doesn't count the first two nights, which more than make up for them. As MAT, puts it, most Jewish holidays are some variation on "they tried to kill us, we're still here, yay, let's eat."

Speaking of which, we had a seder at our place for the first time, ever. MAT and I did a new translation of the four questions, more true to the Hebrew than the Haggadahs we have. That was fun!

Am going to a course given by The American Society for Quality. There's apparently the right way to do anything, the wrong way, and the ASQ way. The prep course guy told us so.

Leah and I recorded a song her Grandmother wrote back in the 60's, piano-vocal arrangement. It's called "Toy Lullabye" and it's a very nice song.

Have to start getting ready for pesach shabbas dinner this Friday. Email me if you want to be there, it's an open house.

    Blagging

I'm told that I've been blagging.

Blag (v)- The art of not writing in your blog.  (-er, -ing)

    Used in a sentence:

The fact that Neil Fein is blagging is very disappointing to fans of his blog.

    Regards,
    Stephen H. Alter

Between my new job, and getting ready for passover, have been very busy. So, Steve, what should I write about, Mr. Big Shot?
